Memberships allow you to generate recurring monthly income (subscription) in exchange of benefits for your readers, such as unlocking member-exclusive episodes/chapters or in Early Access, or member-exclusive publications in your Feed.
To create a membership tier, your series must first be verified and you must have connected your Stripe Connect account as mentionned in this article : Activate monetization for your series
When your Stripe Connect account is created and connected to YURAI, you can now activate monetization features such as memberships.
1. Activate the Memberships feature
Go to your Creator Dashboard, then to the Monetization page. Scroll a bit and you will see this:
Turn "ON" the switch to activate the Memberships feature.
2. Create a Membership tier
Click on the "Add new tier" button. A popup will open to let you create a membership tier:
You will need to enter the following informations:
Title: You can give a name to your membership tier that represents what you plan to offer. If you want to keep it simple, you can also just write "Early Access" for example.
Price: Choose the price your readers will need to pay to subscribe to this membership tier. The price must be between $3 - $99 USD.
Description: By default, all membership tier include "Fidelity Badges", "Member exclusive publications (including Early Access)", and "All benefits from lower tier" if you have created more than one membership tier . You can also add additional benefits, like for your Feed for example (Feed features coming soon).
Image: Upload an image that represent your series or more specifically this membership tier.
Recommended image size: W560 x H200px
IMPORTANT: Once complete, you can save your membership tier and it will immediately be "live" (published). Once a memberhip tier is created, you can't change its price. If you want to change its price or remove a membership tier, you will have to delete it. By deleting a membership tier, you will be losing all members associated to this membership tier. Be sure to proceed with caution.
3. Start generating revenue
Once your first membership tier is created, you can now start generating revenue on YURAI by selling monthly subiscription (membership). To make membership interesting for your readers, you now need to set up content for them. As you will see, there is more than one way to offer content that benefits your paying members.
