03. Set up your publications for monetization

As you will see in this article, there is more than one way to offer content that benefits your paying members (readers subscribed to your membership offers).

But before we see together how we can make the most of YURAI's features, you need to make sure you have:

1. Enabled the monetization features

2. Create at least one membership tier

Already done? Great! Let's take a look at the different publishing options available to you and your paying members. And the best part is that you can use all the following options togheter (at the same time)!

Option 1: Early Access to episodes and chapters

On YURAI, you can offer early access to your episodes and chapters to your paying members. After the "early access" period, the content then becomes available to all your readers without requiring any further action on your part.

You can set up an episode or chapter for early access when creating or editing a publication. At the top right of the page, you will see dropdown button named "Member access only".

Using this dropdown, select the number of days during which only your paying members will be able to read the publication.

The early access start on the "scheduled publication" date and end after the number of days selected for "member access only". For example, if you schedule your publication for May 14 and select "member access only: 7 days", the publication will be published on May 14 and only paying members will be able to access it for 7 days. On May 21, the publication will become free and therefore available to all your readers.

Multiple Early Access publications

Now here's the interesting part: You can offer multiple early access publications at the same time!

Let's say you want to offer three early access publications at the same time. In our example, you schedule three publications for May 14: Episode 7, Episode 8, Episode 9.

Now let's say you select different "member access only" setting for each publication:

Episode 7 = 7 days member access only

Episode 8 = 14 days member access only

Episode 9 = 21 days member access only

When publishing Episode 10, the scheduled publication date could than be May 21 with the member access only selected for 21 days.

If you publish weelky and your new publications always have 21 days of early access, your paying members would always have an early access of 3 weeks to every new publication.

You can set up early access up to 35 days (5 weeks) after the "scheduled publication" date and, for example, publish five (5) publications with an interval of 7 days between each publication.

Option 2: Member-exclusive episodes and chapters

Setting up member-exclusive episodes and chapters had never been easier than on YURAI.

When uploading or editing an episode or chapter on YURAI, you will see a dropdown button named "Member access only" on the top right of the page. Simply select the option "Forever" to make it only available to your readers subscribed to your membership (paying members).

And there you go! All you have to do is publish/save the modification and that's it! You now have exclusive content for your paying members.

Option 3: Member-exclusive posts in your Feed

The Feed features are currently in development, but we'll share more with you once everything is ready! :)
